Media Relations
I am a copy editor and contributing writer for The Daily Beacon, UT’s student-run newspaper, where I edit articles in AP style, pitch, and write stories. This experience taught me to understand what makes a story newsworthy and how to target specific audiences.
Strong Oral & Verbal Communicator
Through my work at The Daily Beacon and my honors-intensive writing classes, I have become a proficient writer. I am also an experienced public speaker with strong interpersonal skills. Last spring, I learned how to deliver effective presentations in an honors business and professional communication class.
Media Content Creation
In my Advertising & Public Relations Design Class, I mastered creating media content across a variety of design platforms, including Adobe InDesign, Figma, After Effects, and Photoshop. As a salesperson at Bette Boutique, a women’s clothing store in Asheville, NC, I created Instagram posts to promote the store’s high-quality brands and shopping experience.
